While we all know Apple is working on aCDMA iPhone at the moment scheduled for release sometime early 2011, this hasn't stopped the iPhone from jumping onto the Verizon Wireless network already.
Last week we reported about an abnormality caught by Analytics firm Flurry. They reportedly recorded 0.2% of iPhone users actually on the Verizon Wireless network. The Web lit up with rumors regarding a batch of Verizon iPhone units undergoing testing in the US. While the actual reason remains unconfirmed OZCAR stumbled upon a little trick that could be the cause of this, and a possible option for iPhone owners wishing to jump to Verizon at times when there is spotty AT&T connections.
Makeshift Verizon iPhone
If AT&T's spotty 3G and weak reception is making you contemplate dumping your iPhone 3G or 3GS, then consider investing in a MiFi pocket-size wireless router instead. Not only will this allow you to get online from just about anywhere but you can jump on to the MiFi’s Verizon EVDO network, basically giving you a Verizon iPhone. However if you wish to make phone calls you will still need to stick with an AT&T plan unless you have downloaded one of the numerous VOIP apps from the App Store such as Skypeor iCall.
